Part 01 - Basic Words for Emotions and Feelings

1. Happy

  • Definition: Feeling or showing pleasure, contentment, or joy.

  • Example:
    She felt happy when she saw her friends after a long time.

    Synonyms:

    • Urdu: خوش (Khush)
      • Example (Urdu): "وہ اپنی دوستوں سے مل کر خوش ہو گئی۔"
        (Woh apni doston se mil kar khush ho gayi.)
      • Meaning: She was happy after meeting her friends.
    • Arabic: سعيد (Saeed)
      • Example (Arabic): "شعرت بالسعادة عندما رأت أصدقائها بعد فترة طويلة."
        (Sha'arit bial-sa'ada 'indama raat asdiqa'aha ba'da fatra tawila.)
      • Meaning: She felt happy when she saw her friends after a long time.

2. Sad

  • Definition: Feeling sorrowful, unhappy, or distressed.

  • Example:
    He was sad when he heard the bad news about his family.

    Synonyms:

    • Urdu: غمگین (Ghamgeen)
      • Example (Urdu): "اسے اپنے خاندان کے بارے میں بری خبر سن کر غمگین ہو گیا۔"
        (Usay apne khandan ke baare mein buri khabar sun kar ghamgeen ho gaya.)
      • Meaning: He became sad after hearing the bad news about his family.
    • Arabic: حزين (Hazin)
      • Example (Arabic): "كان حزينًا عندما سمع الأخبار السيئة عن عائلته."
        (Kana hazinan 'indama sami'a al-akhbar al-sayi'a 'an 'a'ilatihi.)

3. Angry

  • Definition: Feeling strong displeasure or annoyance.

  • Example:
    She was angry because someone had taken her seat.

    • Urdu: غصہ (Ghussa)
      • Example (Urdu): "وہ غصے میں تھی کیونکہ کسی نے اس کی نشست لے لی تھی۔"
        (Woh ghusse mein thi kyun ke kisi ne us ki nashist le li thi.)
      • Meaning: She was angry because someone took her seat.
    • Arabic: غاضب (Ghadib)
      • Example (Arabic): "كانت غاضبة لأن شخصًا ما أخذ مقعدها."

4. Excited

  • Definition: Feeling eager, enthusiastic, or full of energy about something.

  • Example:
    He was excited about going on his first trip abroad.

    Synonyms:

    • Urdu: پرجوش (Purjosh)
      • Example (Urdu): "وہ اپنے پہلے غیر ملکی سفر پر پرجوش تھا۔"
        (Woh apne pehle ghair mulki safar par purjosh tha.)

    • Arabic: متحمس (Mutahammes)
      • Example (Arabic): "كان متحمسًا للذهاب في رحلته الأولى إلى الخارج."

5. Surprised

  • Definition: Feeling or showing shock, amazement, or astonishment.

  • Example:

    • Urdu: حیران (Hairaan)
      • Example (Urdu): "وہ حیران ہو گئی جب اس کی دوست نے اسے تحفہ دیا۔"
        (Woh hairaan ho gayi jab us ki dost ne use tohfa diya.)

    • Arabic: مفاجأ (Mufaja'ah)
      • Example (Arabic): "كانت مفاجأة عندما أعطتها صديقتها هدية."

6. Fearful

  • Definition: Feeling afraid or worried about something bad happening.

    • Urdu: خوفزدہ (Khaufzada)
      • Example (Urdu): "وہ آنے والے طوفان سے خوفزدہ تھا۔"

7. Bored

  • Definition: Feeling uninterested, tired, or restless due to lack of activity.

  • Example:

    • Urdu: بور (Bore)
      • Example (Urdu): "وہ بور ہو گئی کیونکہ کرنے کے لئے کچھ نہیں تھا۔"
        (Woh bore ho gayi kyun ke karne ke liye kuch nahi tha.)

    • Arabic: ملل (Malal)

8. Lonely

      • Example (Urdu): "اسے اپنے دوستوں کے جانے کے بعد اکیلا پن محسوس ہوا۔"

  • Example:

    • Urdu: الجھاؤ (Uljhao)
      • Example (Urdu): "وہ پیچیدہ ہدایات سے الجھا ہوا تھا۔"
