1. Ecstatic

  • Definition: A state of intense joy or happiness, often overwhelming.

  • Example:
    She was ecstatic when she received the news of her promotion.

    Synonyms:

    • Urdu: وجدانی (Wajdani)
      • Example (Urdu): "وہ اپنی ترقی کی خبر سن کر وجدانی خوشی محسوس کر رہی تھی۔"
        (Woh apni taraqqi ki khabar sun kar wajdani khushi mehsoos kar rahi thi.)
      • Meaning: She felt ecstatic when she received the news of her promotion.
    • Arabic: في غاية السعادة (Fi ghayat al-sa'ada)
      • Example (Arabic): "كانت في غاية السعادة عندما تلقت خبر ترقيتها."

2. Despondent

  • Definition: Feeling a loss of hope or a complete lack of enthusiasm; downhearted.

  • Example:
    He felt despondent after hearing that his project had been rejected.

    Synonyms:

    • Urdu: مایوس (Mayoos)
      • Example (Urdu): "اسے یہ سن کر مایوس ہو گیا کہ اس کا پروجیکٹ رد کر دیا گیا تھا۔"
        (Usay yeh sun kar mayoos ho gaya ke us ka project rad kar diya gaya tha.)
      • Meaning: He felt despondent after hearing that his project had been rejected.
    • Arabic: محبط (Muhbat)

3. Exhilarated

  • Definition: Feeling extremely happy, excited, or full of energy due to a thrilling or enjoyable experience.

  • Example:
    She was exhilarated after completing her first marathon.

    Synonyms:

    • Urdu: محظوظ (Mahzooz)
      • Example (Urdu): "اپنا پہلا میراتھن مکمل کرنے کے بعد وہ محظوظ محسوس کر رہی تھی۔"
        (Apna pehla marathon mukammal karne ke baad woh mahzooz mehsoos kar rahi thi.)
      • Meaning: She felt exhilarated after completing her first marathon.
    • Arabic: منتشي (Muntashi)

4. Apprehensive

  • Definition: A feeling of fear or anxiety about something that might happen in the future; nervous expectation.

  • Example:

    • Urdu: محتاط (Muhtaat)
      • Example (Urdu): "وہ طبی ٹیسٹ کے نتائج کے بارے میں محتاط اور پریشان تھا۔"
        (Woh tibi tests ke nataij ke baare mein muhtaat aur pareshan tha.)
      • Meaning: He was apprehensive about the results of the medical tests.
    • Arabic: قلق (Qalaq)

5. Melancholy

  • Definition: A deep, persistent sadness or sorrow, often without a clear cause.

  • Example:
    He had a feeling of melancholy as he walked through his old neighborhood.

    • Urdu: افسردہ (Afsurda)
      • Example (Urdu): "جب وہ اپنے پرانے محلے سے گزر رہا تھا تو اسے افسردہ پن محسوس ہو رہا تھا۔"

6. Indifferent

  • Definition: A lack of interest, concern, or sympathy toward something; neutral or unconcerned.

  • Example:

    • Urdu: بے پرواہ (Be Parwaha)
      • Example (Urdu): "وہ مقابلے کے نتیجے سے بے پرواہ تھی۔"
        (Woh muqablay ke nateejay se be parwaha thi.)

    • Arabic: غير مبالٍ (Ghayr Mubalin)

7. Astonished
